BFM2136 Multi Channel energy meter

Multi Circuit Meter BFM136 with 36 Electrical Circuits is now NMI Approved

By SATEC (Australia) Pty Ltd | Product News | Comments are Closed | 20 January, 2015 | 0

SATEC continue to set the standard in Energy Metering design with the release of the NMI Approved BFM136 Multi Circuit Meter, suitable for use on multiple electrical circuits. The BFM136 is suitable for use for up to 36 single phase circuits or 12 three phase circuits or a combination of both for up to 36 current inputs using SATEC current sensors/current transformers (HACS).

Many advances in metering technology based on metrology specifications are both complex and technical in the design achievements. The “National Measurement Institute of Australia” provides the legal basis for approving metering for use in trade requiring pattern approved designs complying with NMI technical and metrology performance criteria’s per NMI M6-1.

The unique design for use as a Pattern Approved Meter for multiple electrical circuits is the first meter of this design approved for NMI use as an electricity meter. The impact of such a design provides a cost effective solution for installations both existing and new along with space savings and labour cost reductions adding to the cost analysis benefit of the BFM136.

The BFM136 multi circuit meter provides Energy Metering data including time of use (TOU) tariff billing, power factor, frequency, kilowatts, kvars, voltage, current as well as maximum demand metering.

SATEC’s current sensors/current transformers (HACS) can be extended up to 200 metres from the BFM136 providing for installations where loads are located in difficult areas where space is limited for locating the energy metering device.
