SATEC’s release of the NMI approved EM133-XM eXpertmeter™ takes smart energy metering to a high-level design far exceeding NMI M 6-1 specifications. The SATEC eXpertmeter™ capabilities far exceed any DIN energy meter products currently on the Australian market for pattern approval use.
The SATEC eXpertmeter™ introduces enhanced memory capabilities to 8MB providing extended interval data logging complying with all local regulatory interval metering requirements including 5-minute interval data for electricity meters.
The Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC) and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) are to implement the 5-minute settlement interval data rule from the previously proposed review. (Download the AEMO 5-Minute Settlement Rule Fact Sheet here).
The EM133-XM with onboard real time clock (RTC), event logging and data logging provides capabilities to meet and exceed local regulatory requirements.
Interval data with NMI approved electricity energy meters provides data integrity in the event of power loss along with providing customers with improved forensic analysis on their energy usage at various time periods. Load profiling is best analysed with on board memory capabilities to the energy meter.
Further advancements for SATEC’s eXpertmeter™ include import/export (4 Quadrant reading) per phase, as a three (3) phase meter four (4) quadrant is standard. However, the introduction of import/export per phase is an indication of the enhanced functions of the eXpertmeter™.
The enhanced memory provides 16 electrical parameters user selected for interval data logging, providing for example 30-minute interval data for up to 1365 days (over 3 years). The new 5-minute interval requirement for type 4 metering, allows the NMI approved eXpertmeter™ to keep records for up to 227 days.
The SATEC NMI approved eXpertmeter™ incorporates three (3) interval data logs, providing measurements for up to 48 electrical parameters (16 parameters per interval data logs). Electrical parameters are user definable, in single phase configuration each phase has a separate interval data log.
SATEC’s eXpertmeter™ being pattern approved has communications RS485/Modbus protocol as standard, with options to add ethernet, modem, Wi-Fi or additional serial communications to communicate with 3rd party applications and/or SATEC’s cloud service application eXpertconnect.
SATEC has added expansion modules for applications requiring advanced and/or dual communications with expansion modules provide for expanded digital inputs and outputs for water, gas monitoring and/or alarm functions.
SATEC’s eXpertconnect cloud service (SAAS) provides billing for electricity, water and gas in addition to profiling loads and power quality analysis. eXpertconnect provides the ability to produce energy bill structures per month or quarterly via email.
eXpertconnect is a push to cloud service via ethernet, modem or Wifi connection in addition to receiving data via smart devices with alarm alerts as required. eXpertconnect can be customised to suit specific customer applications.
Access to interval data for regulatory needs and billing energy data is available via various communication industry standards including Modbus protocol, ITRON’S MV 90xi platform, NEM 12 data.
With pattern approval, five (5) year warranty from shipment, increased 8MB memory, event logging, three (3) interval data logs, high accuracy reading of Class 0.5S, configurable as either a 3 phase or three (3) single phase metering, along with four (4) quadrant reading (import/export) per phase and expansion modules, the SATEC NMI approved eXpertmeter™ is truly in a class of its own.
