SATEC has developed a Raspberry Pi interface to the popular EM133-XM and BFM136 instruments.
Python language was used to implement the connection to the Modbus protocol within the SATEC meters.
Availability of Billing Data, Data Logs, Event Logs and Real-Time Electrical Data is currently available from the Raspberry Pi when connected to a display, such as HDMI touch display as shown.
This Raspberry Pi development was required for use in local display application. Meter readers are able to access data to assist with their traditional meter reading applications.
Connection to the billing metering data is done through the front touch display interface. Additional connection to the Data Logs and Electrical Data enable users to access further information.
Event Log data allows users to identify change management within the meter if required.
This analysis assist in identifying change history in setup, such as the Real Time Clock (RTC), Current Transformer Ratio, or other important meter settings.
Further development of FTP server and local logging, in this intelligent Edge Device improves data access to SATEC metering.
